The heavy duty plastic
Art Mica Industrial Laminates are essentially solid, infusible materials, constituted of cotton fabric, or paper impregnated with phenolic resin, and subjected to high pressure and controlled temperature.

By varying the type of reinforcement used and the type and proportions of resin, a whole family of grades are produced by Art Mica, with properties tailored to meet specific needs, in accordance with relevant industry/country standards.

Versatile applications
Art Mica plastics combine mechanical and electrical strengths with chemical and weather resistance, to result in a rigid, low weight, economical material, suitable for varied uses.

In stock and customised forms, Art Mica lends itself to a variety of standard shapes required by the industry. These include sheets, moulded rods and tubes.
Technically tough
Art Mica products/materials with cotton fabric reinforcement are workhorse grades which are strong and tough, with excellent wear resistance and bearing properties. They are easily machinable, offers a range of quality finishes and high dimensional stability.

If paper is used for reinforcement, the material is strong, rigid and very economical. It serves as a good electrical insulator and offers excellent machining and punching properties.
